Directions to Glenmalure

GPS Co-ordinates

52 55 59 21 N
06 17 14 30 W

If using satilite navigation we suggest you enter Glenmalure Golf Club rather than Glenmalure which could land you anywhere in the Glenmalure valley. You may also wish to set your route through Rathdrum to avoid the backroads unless you have time and wish to enjoy the scenery.

Directions when driving from Dublin

Follow the signs for 'The Southeast' on the N11 which converts to the M11 and then reverts back to the N11 again.
Keep on the N11 until you reach the turn off signed Rathnew / Rathdrum / Wicklow (R772)
In Rathnew turn right at a small roundabout sign-posted Wexford / Rathdrum
Keep straight on to Rathdrum on the R752 (i.e. do not take N11 to Wexford)
Drive straight through Glenealy on to Rathdrum
As you approach Rathdrum, you come down a hill and over a wide bridge. As the road goes up the hill again it splits in two at the Bridge House. Take the right fork up the hill. At the T-junction, turn left on to the main street (you will find Centra supermarket on the right hand side which is good for food). Then at The Railway bar on the square, turn right up the narrow hill (you will find Flemmings on your right one hundred meters up the hill which is good for logs or briquettes for the fire).
Keep left at the fork in the road, sign posted Greenane and Glenmalure.
Outside of the town take the first right immediately after the 80 km/h speed sign posted Glenmalure G.C.
Continue down narrow tree lined road to "T" junction & turn left sign posted Glenmalure G.C.
As you drive down the hill, turn right into Glenmalure Golf Club (approximately 800 metres)
After you drive past the Club House (white building on the right) the road splits in two. Go straight on the high road to the right.

There is a yellow plastered wall with brown metal railing bordering the left hand side of the road. Immediately at the end of this wall is No. 13. Take the steps that lead down from No. 13. They end directly at the lodge. Please note that although the No. 11 is marked on the side of the lodge and on the door, it is not easy to see from the road.

You can park in the spaces opposite the top of the steps (the space directly at the top of the steps is reserved for No. 13 - please do not park there).

Enjoy your stay!

Directions when driving from South East/Rosslare/Wexford

Drive North on N11 towards Dublin.
Drive through Gorey and continue on main road (N11).
After the small village of Inch you come to the Arklow bi-pass (dual
carriageway). At the start of the bi-pass take 1st exit, signed Arklow with a 2nd sign (partially hidden !) showing Avoca & Woodenbridge.
Follow directions to Woodenbridge, Avoca, Rathdrum.
In Rathdrum, turn up the hill at The Railway on the square. You may wish to stop here to pick up some provisions including logs or turf for the fire (Centra is on the main street and Flemmings is on your right one hundred meters up the hill).
Keep left at the fork in the road, sign posted Greenane and Glenmalure.
Outside of the town take the first right immediately after the 80 km/h speed sign posted Glenmalure G.C.
