Listed below are range of pubs and restaurants in and around Glenmalure.

Glenmalure Golf Club - Greenan
The
clubhouse is situated just 100 meters away. The bar closes early in the evening sometimes around
21:00 but the timing depends on the golfers so don't depend on them for your evening meal!
M J. Byrne - Greenan
The
nearest pub (apart from the club house one hundred meters away) is M J.
Byrne just a mile down the road. If the establishment is not open give
a knock on the door and one of the two Byrne brothers (both born in the
1920s when the pub was last renovated) would be delighted to open up for
you. This pub, not one for those looking for some creature comforts, serves
an excellent pint of Guinness and is only a short walk away.
Jacobs Well - Rathdrum
Good
pub grub. Entertainment on some nights.
The Woolpack - Rathdrum
Located
in the square in Rathdrum, the Woolpack offers reasonable pub grub in
the lounge. Late night entertainment in the bar, has to be seen to be
believed, particularity if Jonjo and Marie are playing.
The Cartoon Bar - Rathdrum
A
lively pub, may serve food, yet to be checked out.
The Corner House - Rathdrum
Fairly
basic pub with pool table for those interested. No reports on food.
The Railway Bar - Rathdrum
On
the square, this pub has been recently renovated and is reported by some
of our guests to have great Karaoke evening on Sundays.
Geoghegan's - Rathdrum
On
the Rathdrum main street, this pub has been recommended by some of our
guest.
Avondale - Rathdrum
The Avondale restaurant and takeaway is situated opposite the square in
Rathdrum. No reports on food quality available.
Macreddin Village
Just
five miles down the road you will find Macreddin Village, home to Actons
Country Pub, the renowned Strawberry Tree restaurant and The Store Rooms.
Actons Country Pub serves good bar food and perfect pints from its very
own micro-brewery.
At
the award winning Strawberry Tree Restaurant serves only free range, organic
and wild foods and the innovative cuisine is matched by dramatic surroundings.
Their walk-in wine cellar carries a diverse and delectable selection of
wines.
In the charming and relaxed Waterside Lounge, a light menu is available
along with a wide variety of teas and coffees, and of course a finely
stocked bar.
The Store Rooms at Macreddin Village continue their dedication to fine
dining and 'real' foods. In the bakery and smokehouse, organic, wild and
free range produce and ingredients are used to create a delicious assortments
of breads and smoked foods. A collection of Village shops specialising
in fine wines, produce and tableware are ideal for a leisurely browse.
Lynhams - Laragh
Lynhams
of Laragh, otherwise known as The Laragh Inn has an excellent restaurant
and serves good pub grub in the bar as well.
The open log fire welcomes you in both the pub and restaurant. Live music
is featured five nights a week or during the winter months on a Friday
or Saturday night.
Wicklow Heather Restaurant - Laragh
The
Wicklow Heather Restaurant is situated in Laragh on the road leading out
to Glendalough. It is a fully licensed restaurant which serves good food
and is open all year round.

The Michael Dywer Pub - Glenmalure
 Sometime
referred to as the Glenmalure Lodge, the Michael Dywer pub can be found
about 5 miles up the valley. It serves food and drinks in a warm and friendly
atmosphere.
Lawless's Hotel - Aughrim
In
the centre of Aughrim, just after the bridge, you will find Lawless's
Hotel with an award winning restaurant which previous guests have recommended.

Woodenbridge Hotel - Woodenbridge
Perched on the hill overlooking the lush green Woodenbridge Golf Club
in the valley, Woodenbridge Hotel serves excellent food (well, at least
they do for weddings).
