"We had the most perfect stay in the cabin - everything was absolutely lovely. Right down to the chocolates left on the pillows! We were so impressed at how well equipped, spacious and cosy the cabin was.

We heard about the cabins from one of my friends who has been down a few times now and highly recommended your cabins. I've already been spreading the word about what a great place it is - and we most certainly will be back.

We look forward to another stay in the near future." (November 2007)

"We had a really great time there, and your place is definitely on my 'map' as regards future breaks. There's not really much that can be done to improve your product! We were both very impressed at the standard of the accommodation and facilities.

Of course, it's in a great location. What stood out apart from the views was the extent of the silence, punctured by birdsong and the occasional cow lowing. It's rare to find oneself in such a condition nowadays! Very relaxing." (October 2007)

"We had a lovely time at Glenmalure, it was very relaxing. You have thought of everything, anything we looked for, was there. It is a fabulous idea." (September 2007)

"We had an excellent week in Glenmalure and would look forward to returning in the future. Our 4 year old daughter had a brilliant time and has not stopped talking about going back since we got home.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a great holiday and we will definitely be returning in the future." (July 2007)

"We had a fantastic time, many thanks - beautiful cabin, beautiful location, what more could one want! We will definitely be back!" (March 2007)

"We really enjoyed our stay and really didn't want to leave :) The chalet is very comfortable and had everything. It snowed Sunday night and it was magical waking up on Monday morning to see the chalets, trees and mountains covered in snow." (March 2007)

"Had a brill time, nice to get away for a short break and it's been a long time since i've seen snow staying on ground. I'd like to say i'll be back but you never know, anyway thank you for an enjoyable stay." (February 2007)

"The lodge is magnificent. We arrived at destination just before sunset on Saturday. Traveling directions were perfect. It is a great hide-out. Would never have found it alone although we have walked and visited the surrounding areas many times since childhood. On Sunday morning we drove around and visited the annual Christmas Bazaar in Laragh and afterwards enjoyed a brisk walk around the Glendalough lakes before returning to
Dublin airport."
(November 2006)

"We really enjoyed our stay last weekend at Glenmalure, and everything ran smoothly! Apologies to the lady I had to call upon our arrival when we were having problems opening the door....didn't realize it opened outwards rather than inwards!! The place was lovely and cozy upon arrival, and very clean. We were all happy and were even able to organize a taxi to and from Rathdrum on the Saturday nite, which we were a bit worried about - especially as some locals told us it was hard to pin a taxi down in those parts! But it worked out really well.

Thanks again, and I'm sure should the situation arise again, none of us would have any hesitation in booking with you again." (November 2006)

"Just a quick thank you for our great break in your lodge - such nice accommodation with splendid view." (October 2006)

"We had a fantastic time in Glenmalure, we loved the place we stayed in it had everything we needed, the views were a bonus. " (October 2006)

"We had a great stay, we loved the cabin, the view was spectacular and we
enjoyed the scenery. It's a great place to relax and be away of it all!

We played golf several days and had the best day at the Ryder Cup on Friday, what an event, never seen anything like it and I feel extremely lucky to have experienced it (and of course we all like the result!).

If this place was any closer to Holland, it would be a perfect weekend stay, but who knows, we might come back someday." (September 2006)

"We had a lovely week at the lodge. The weather was a bit mixed but we had some lovely sunsets and managed to use the barbeque a few times.

I was pleased to see that details were well thought out for family use with plenty of towels and basic stuff in cupboards like cling film, dishcloths, washer tabs and tea towels. It is frustrating when you have to go out and buy it all as soon as you arrive. It felt like a home from home rather than an empty shell.

We also liked the DVDs library and sky tv and managed to watch a couple of films once the children had gone to bed.

We had a lovely week and would be happy to recommend Glenmalure to our friends.

Thanks again" (August 2006)

"We had a fantastic time in Glenmalure and have told everybody! Beautiful location and we will be keen to return maybe even at Christmas time if there are any weekend offers available. Very efficient. Again thank you." (July 2006)

"We had a lovely stay at Glenmalure - the cabin is very well equipped and comfortable and the views are just beautiful." (June 2006)

"Really enjoyed our stay. Did the glenmalure to glendalough walk-superb. No complaints, thanks again" (June 2006)

"We had a great weekend thanks - great location for Clara Lara, Brittas Bay and Glenmalure for walking. Cabin very nice - scenery spectacular." (June 2006)

"We had a truly wonderful time in Glenmalure. I loved the house, setting, and of course that view! The feedback I have is all positive. We had no trouble finding the place
and the house was equipped with everything we could possibly want.
Thanks again and I have no doubt I will be visiting Glenmalure in the future." (April 2006)

"Our group comprised of two couples and one small child and two babies. While traveling with babies, there is a tendency to bring everything including the kitchen sink, but I can honestly say you had everything to hand.

The Cabin itself was beautiful, and the views stunning, we did find ourselves wondering how nice it would be on a summers evening, so please do keep me informed of any last minute special offers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back in the future." (March 2006)

"I had been to Glenmalure round about this time last year with a group of friends. We spent the weekend catching up, laughing, and relaxing and I can say looking back that it was one of the best weekends of the whole year! So as it happened a couple of weeks ago my mother was told she have to have a hip replacement. Naturally she is not looking forward to it but the initial shock sent her blood pressure soaring. The doctor told her she needed to relax - but I don't think my mother knows the meaning of the word. That's when I decided to book a weekend in Glenmalure for her. I thought it would be ideal - quiet, cosy, beautiful views, and most of all relaxing. It was perfect! She couldn't do anything but relax. She's hasn't slept so well as she did that weekend and she couldn't believe how beautiful the cabin was. It is actually like a little haven!

So now I told that when she starts to worry that she should focus on the log cabin and how calm she felt down there and that after her operation we would go down for another weekend. It's given her something to look forward to and taken her mind off the operation.

As for me, I came into work on Monday afternoon and everyone thought I even looked different. I think I've sent the link onto at least 6 people so far and have highly recommended it. I will absolutely be booking it again." (January 2006)

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Glenmalure and are already planning another
trip for next year. Our most relaxing trip yet (and the views were just the
icing on the cake)."
(December 2005)

"We had a fantastic stay in the lodge. It exceeded all our expectations and will definitely be returning, hopefully in the not too distant future." (November 2005)

"We had a brilliant time on our stay in Glenmalure, the cabin itself was more lovely than we could have hoped for. Believe it, we had no pen to sign the guest book. Had we done, it would be full of praise, for a very well kept cabin and beautiful scenery. Hope to see it all again in summer 2006." (November 2005)

"We were blown away by the house in Glenmalure - it was just as good as the website suggested, if not better. I have already recommended it to several other people and we hope to return again next summer so we can make full use of the deck and also get the golf clubs out. It helped that we were blessed with the good weather - great for hikes in Glendalough and Avondale. Your information binder was very helpful and so were the
directions on the website."
(November 2005)

"We had a wonderful time at Glenmalure! It was everything we'd hoped for. We found the house to be well equipped, and extremely comfortable and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone." (October 2005)

"We had a fabulous time in Glenmalure – I have stayed in log cabins in another part of the country but I have to say that yours far surpassed them in every way. It was the perfect chill out weekend – the cabins were so well equipped and so cosy – I thought the DVDs, CDs and books were a great idea and a very good selection as well. I fully intend to come back!" (October 2005)

"We had a fantastic time at Glenmalure, the whole group were very impressed with the setting and with the quality of the cabins. A great time had by all." (September 2005)

"We really enjoyed our weekend in Glenmalure Pines, the lodge is very well equipped for a comfortable stay. The place was great with the most magnificent scenery. I have no doubt we will be visiting again" (September 2005)

"I don't see how anyone would not like your house in Glenmalure. The house is beautiful and the view is fantastic. We look forward to returning to Glenmalure some day." (August 2005)

"We had a great time and the lodge was really child friendly and will be back" (August 2005)

"Just to say everything was fine at no. 11 and we had a great week. Good weather and the cabin was lovely. Wonderful views and probably the best equipped holiday home ever. All the directions and instructions were also very clear.

Only minor quibble was that although we enjoyed playing the golf course (golf notes follow!, the clubhouse was very quiet and open for limited hours even in August, so no social milieu there. Also found night-life in the area a bit lacking, or maybe we were just unlucky. Foodwise Lynhams at Laragh was disappointing but can definitely recommend Lawless Hotel at Aughrim. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and they do bar meals too. Aughrim generally looked a bit livelier than Rathdrum, though we didn't get there until Friday! To get to Dublin we drove to Bray and took the Dart train which we decided was easier than parking.

Notes for Golfers!
As mid to high handicappers we found Glenmalure a test of golf and fitness - if you don't like hills take a buggy! However we played three times and enjoyed it - terrific views. We also played Wicklow - spectacular setting, though again pretty strenuous. The next one down the coast looked flatter and was only a bit more expensive. You can get the Wicklow Golf leaflet from the tourist office in Rathdrum. We skipped Wooden Bridge as over our price range, but one day drove through the Wicklow Gap to Co. Kildare and played Athy Golf course which was open and well kept. The restaurant was excellent too, so a good trip all round, though you would have to book ahead."
(August 2005)

"Fantastic time. Everything in relation to log cabins was excellent." (July 2005)

"I would like to thank you. The four of us had a truly fab weekend in Glenmalure, and we will definitely be back. We all live hectic lives in Dublin and it was just a perfect way to switch off and relax where nobody else could find us. Perfect isolation.

The cabin was kitted out with everything we could possibly have needed. The weather wasn't great but it didn't spoil the weekend. We still managed to have a BBQ.

We will see you again and we are spreading the word to our friends and family about this very special place."
(June 2005)

"I cannot speak more highly about the Glenmalure log cabins, it was an unforgettable experience & it exceeded all my expectations. Everything about it was so beautiful & only one word could describe it, “perfect”. Upon my arrival back to Dublin, the first thing I did was go back on your website to book one of the weekends away because I am dying to go back but unfortunately all were booked out. It was an absolute pleasure staying in the log cabin & I look forward to staying there again, no 5 star holiday or weekend away can compare to the luxury & 10 star quality I received from my stay in the log cabin. I have recommended the cabins to a long list of people & they are looking into heading down. I would really appreciate if you could forward on any special offers or even cancellations. Also could you please forward on some pictures of the log cabin because I want to show people what it was like, unfortunately I had no camera with me at the time." (May 2005)

"The cabin was very comfortable, well-equipped, and with a fantastic view from the terrace.  The DVDs and satellite TV are big pluses, and having most of the basic supplies in place (loo paper, tea, dishwasher tabs etc.) took away a lot of grief.  The setting is great, in the depths of nature, but with the golf course, clubhouse, and local facilities readily accessible." (April 2005)

"We had a fantastic time at Glenmalure. We were so impressed with your log cabin. It was so different from anywhere else we have ever stayed. We just thought you had it spot on for what someone comes to Glenmalure for...right down to the fire, barbecue, choice of DVDs and especially the CDs etc. I have been recommending it to so many people since we returned and a few of my friends are really interested in going and I hope to be back myself before the year is out. " (April 2005)

"Had a lovely stay at Glenmalure last weekend. Thanks for arranging all - everything went like clockwork." (April 2005)

"The chalet was very modern, comfortable  and warm with good cooking faculties.
There were a lot of very good attractions close by - Avondale, Glendalough, Brittas Bay.
We had a lovely meal in the Lawless Hotel in Aughrim ."
(March 2005)

"We enjoyed our stay at Glenmalure so much.  The cottage was all we expected and more. With the exception of one rainy day all went swimmingly.  The cottage is so well equipped, there was nothing we were lacking.  I have recommended it to my sister and brother-in-law. Rathdrum is a quaint little village and we enjoyed the food at,  I think, Avondale Resturaunt.  Run by a lovely lady named Mrs. Foley.  Excellent food and service.  Again, thank you and we truly enjoyed the cottage.  The view was magnificent." (March 2005)

"Myself and my friends had a lovely stay in Glenmalure and we intend to visit again during the summer. The log cabin was extremely comfortable and the log fire ensured we were very cosy when the weather wasn't at its best. Furthermore the beds were extremely comfortable.

As we arrived on Friday night it wasn't until Saturday morning that we had an opportunity to check out the view from our decking area, we weren't disappointed as the view was magnificent." (January 2005)

"We very much enjoyed our stay in Glenmalure which was made all the more enjoyable by the snow falling on Christmas day. Felt that we should have brought skis and sleds to complete the perfection of the Christmas. We would definately wish to return at a future date." (December 2004)

"Had a great stay and really enjoyed ourselves." (December 2004)

"Thank you so much for the e mail and also all of the time and effort that you put into the beautiful lodge. I must say my family and I were quite taken aback when we arrived. Although the journey from Kerry was long and weary, with two small children I have to say when we finally did get there it was worth all of the driving.
I can see how your business is so successful as you have taken every so much time on every detail of personalising the holidays for everyone. The small touches
as in cd, dvds and especially the incense. Our little baby had a great time exploring all of the rooms and our 7 year old loved the dvds. All that remains to be said is a big thank you and most definitely we will be back next year when our third child is born around February. I wish you every success in the future and also a Merry Christmas."
(November 2004)

"I am just sending you an email to thank you for all your help. I really enjoyed my stay at the weekend. The cabin was lovely and the view was amazing. Thank you again for all your help." (November 2004)

"Had a great stay, really peaceful and relaxing. Thank you." (November 2004)

"We had a great time in the log cabin and enjoyed every minute of our stay. My parents were with us this time and were really impressed with the cabin and its facilities and, of course, the location. We will definitely be back again.
I am glad to say that I have no complaints and that I have highly recommended the accommodation to all my friends."
(October 2004)

"Thanks for an idyllic weekend in 11 Glenmalure Pines, the location is perfect and the cabin divine." (October 2004)

"We had a wonderful week end in Glenmalure, we split into two groups and went hill walking and canoeing on Saturday and Sunday. The cottage was very nice, very warm, clean and tidy, and a great view of the mountains and glen. Really appreciated the little extra's like the barbecue and the DVD player. We had a barbecue on the deck on Saturday evening, and it made the whole self catering experience something more than cooking at home. Would love to return again soon." (October 2004)

"We all really had a lovely time. The location was perfect, so close to many places of interest (we particularly liked Glendalough). Rathdrum itself was also very enjoyable and had plenty of decent pubs too. We also managed to take a few bob of the local bookmaker Terry Rogers from a tip we received! Had no bother getting a taxi back to the cabins which was also ideal. As for the cabin itself, it could not be faulted. Nice and modern. Plenty of room also and the fire was great. Have already recommended to others and definitely plan on returning there myself." (September 2004)

"We enjoyed our weekend so much that we are hoping to come back next year some time! The cabin is lovely, very clean and comfortable and in a very calm setting. The beds, including the futon, are very comfortable too. We appreciated the little touches (CDs, incense, books) and the barbecue." (September 2004)

"We had a great weekend in the cabin and hope to visit again soon!" (September 2004)

"We enjoyed the lodge in Glenmalure, especially being in a house instead of hotels and B&B’s on the remaining of our trip. The lodge was very nice and we even ate two nights on the balcony." (August 2004)

"We stayed in Glenmalure recently and I must say the house was beautiful. We were very impressed with all the facilities. It was top class and would recommend the place to others. Lovely for adults to enjoy the peace and quiet of the place and to get away from all the hussle and bustle. The web site has all the appropriate information on places to see and things to do which was great. Keep up the good work and hope all goes well in the future. Yes we would like to go back again some time." (August 2004)

" We all had an excellent time in the cottage. It was very roomy and had everything we needed." (August 2004)

"We had a wonderful stay at Glenmalure, it was the perfect place to go after the few hectic weeks travelling Europe, but we should have stayed longer. The cabin is very well equipped and there was nothing that we could not find. Also the DVD collection was excellent. I will be highly recommending it to family and friends and hopefully I will get back again myself soon." (August 2004)

"We had a great time. The cabin was great, everything we could have needed was there. Hopefully we will be able to come back another time. I have no problems recommending the place to any of my friends or family, it was great." (July 2004)

"Many thanks for a wonderful stay at Glenmalure. All in all the cottage was superb and we have no complaints at all, we will recommend it to our friends." (July 2004)

"The lodge was lovely and we enjoyed our stay." (July 2004)

"We had a great holiday, the log cabin was absolutely beautiful, our daughter was in her element and loved the open plan area. It was a great base and although the weather wasn't great, we managed to get out every day and it stayed dry long enough for us to go for a walk and visit the many nearby attractions. I would love to stay again, it is a bit of a journey from Cork ( took us nearly 4 hours) so we had to entertain our daughter in the car but other than that it is perfect and wouldn't put me off." (July 2004)

"Cheers for the weekend! Its a great place to stay and we had a great time though didn't quite get the weather.
Didn't matter much because the rugby and football was on in the pub so I was happy!

Will recommend it to friends!"
(June 2004)

"We really enjoyed our stay at Glenmalure. It was better than we expected. The lodge / house was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. In summary form here are my thoughts:-

  • House / lodge was lovely and very "roomy"
  • Facilities very clean and of a very good standard (i.e. dishwasher, washing machine, cooking equipment, showers, stereo, TV and DVD etc.)
  • Self catering facilities were very good and the kitchen had everything required
  • Decking was fab. with lovely views
  • Instructions and information booklet was very comprehensive (came in very handy)

Thanks again." (June 2004)

"Just a quick mail to thank you very much for a fantastic weekend. Myself and
my partner where there for the weekend. I can't say enough good things about
it. Brilliant. And we will be telling all our friends about it and we will
be back again in the near future.

Once again thanks a million." (May 2004)

"We had a great time in Glenmalure and would like to thank you. The cabins are spectacular and were way beyond our expectations. We have told all our family and friends about it and I'm sure they will also be visiting soon." (May 2004)

"I have to say it was wonderful, and completely exceeded our expectations. The log cabin was fantastic and well equipped and the views from the balcony were amazing. We also enjoyed the friendliness of the locals especially the people we met in Glenmalure Lodge. We will definitely be coming back again. I have to say I have been recommending this place to everyone since I came back." (May 2004)

"We had a lovely weekend in Glenmalure - perfect location and perfect weather! - many thanks." (May 2004)

"A fantastic cabin with all the facilities and more you would expect from a holiday residence. Well presented and maintained. The kids loved the DVDs..

Thanks again....we will definitely come again...." (May 2004)

"From seeing the pictures and descriptions of the lodge on the website I expected it to be quite pleasant, but once we arrived I saw that it was much more. I don't think either of the two of us that stayed could give it enough praise. Everything was just right. It's location was excellent and the condition of the lodge itself was also excellent. We had everything we needed in the lodge to enjoy our stay, and found that the shops in Rathdrum had anything else that we needed. The views were magnificent and the lodges close proximity to the many attractions was a big plus. We have already spoken about going back in the future and would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. It was ideal for the two of us and I'm sure a group of six would find it just as perfect. Overall, as I've said, I can't praise the lodge enough. It was just what we needed and very good value as well. Keep up the good work. Best of luck with the lodge, and we hope to be back again in the not too distant future." (May 2004)

"Let me start by saying we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The accommodation was fantastic - we couldn't get over how nice the cabins were - the scenery was lovely and we couldn't fault the facilities. Lucky for us we had brilliant weather too which always helps. We'd definitely recommend the cabins to family and friends." (April 2004)

"We had a great weekend and it was great the fact that we stayed on the Sunday night and back to work on the Monday. We left at 7.30 am and managed to get to town at 9 am just in time for work!" (April 2004)

"We had a wonderful time. We couldn't fault the house at all - in fact we were stunned at how well kited out it is, its such a great help to have bed linen and towels supplied. It was great too to have the washing machine and dishwasher, washing machine as we had a mucky 8 year old in tow and dishwasher cos we were on holidays! We don't do it at home so why do it on hols! The first thing that struck us was the cosiness and at the same time the brightness of the house. The view from the deck is fabulous. We loved the house and I'm quite certain I'll be back at least once more this year.

Thanks for a great stay!"
(April 2004)

"Our stay was wonderful, the area is superb and the accommodation is even better. You would be hard pushed to find quality like that in most hotels. Your attention to detail is excellent. We all enjoyed our stay very much and the bed problem was no inconvenience at all and the new bed was very comfortable indeed. In my opinion it would be impossible to give you negative feedback so much so that we have already recommended Glenmalure to all our friends and family.

We do intend to return and you can expect to hear from us in the near future.

Thank you again"
(April 2004)

"We had a wonderful time at the cottage, with 5 kids in tow we didn't get a chance to sign the visitors book to let you know what a nice time we had. The cottage was wonderful and very well equipped, we had everything we needed. All in all a lovely place and one we most definitely will go back to. The location is ideal to get to most places in Wicklow, we went to Avondale Park and Glendalough which were only short drives, ideal." (April 2004)

" We both really had a great weekend in Glenmalure what with Man Utd beating Arsenal and getting second and fourth in the Grand National!

Seriously, No. 11 was so much more that what we were expecting. On first entering the cabin it was so warm and inviting looking, and the view! Every evening we were dying to get back just cook a meal, look at the view and have a one (or maybe three) glasses of wine. It was very relaxing.

It was great that the cabin was fully equipped, with a few extras also such as little things that we forgot to bring like salt and pepper and cooking oil.

Thanks again for a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend. Maybe next time you might be able to provide better weather!" (April 2004)

"I have to say we had a very enjoyable stay in Glenmalure. It was beautifully. It was a home away from home. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. The directions are very good - none of us got lost which is quite an achievement!! Would definitely visit Glenmalure sometime in the future." (March 2004)

"I want to say we had a great time in Glenmalure. We really had a fantastic time (the house is excellent and the views are spectacular!) and are hoping to go again later in the year" (March 2004)

"The cabin is a credit to you - when the web site said well-equipped, we had no idea that it would be as well equipped as it actually is! It was a real home away from home for us and with the fire and nightlights lit and a few glasses of wine, it was the perfect place to chill out! We watched about 6 of the DVDs and would like to thank you for leaving them there for us - very impressed with your selection!

Over the weekend, we went to the golf club on Saturday afternoon, but because of the weather, no one could play and the club house itself was empty! So we hit Rathdrum and would recommend the Railway bar, Geoghegan's and Jacobs. We actually had dinner in Jacobs that night and it was very reasonable and very good food. On Sundays, the big night out is the Karaoke in the Railway Bar and it is great craic for anyone wanting to get into the atmosphere! We also took a trip out to Glendalough and Laragh and the sights were amazing.

So you can definitely expect us back! (If we can get a booking that is because we can see from the web site how booked up it is!)" (March 2004)

"We had a wonderful time in the log cabin. The cabin itself was lovely and the views were amazing." (March 2004)

"We had the best time in Glenmalure Pines!!! The weather helped too, Sunday we enjoyed the sun relaxing on the veranda, enjoying the beautiful view. I really think your house offers a high standard of comfort: big rooms, large veranda, cd and dvd, well equipped kitchen and overall well furnished. The 6 of us had a great time, and we will definitely consider to come back. We will recommend it to our friends too." (March 2004)

"We very much enjoyed our stay in the peace and quite. The log Cabin was out of this world with all the comforts of home away from home and the views were stunning. I loved every minute of it, it was the perfect place to relax. I look forward to my next stay in Glenmalure, only next time I hope to stay longer." (February 2004)

"My girlfriend and I enjoyed a relaxing couple of days in Glenmalure, and judging by the guest book, we were not the only ones. The lodge was beautiful and deserves all 4 stars. Well equipped and in a perfect location. You can be assured I will recommend your lodge to anyone who wants a break away. Thanks." (February 2004)

"We had a great time in Glenmalure over the weekend. The cabin was equipped to a very high standard and it was absolutely spotless. We do hope to get back to Glenmalure before the summer. Thanks again for a lovely relaxing weekend." (February 2004)

"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to tell you what a fantastic time we had in number 11. It was just so completely relaxing and just what I needed.

I will definitely book again and look forward to it." (January 2004)

"Our stay in Glenmalure was indeed wonderful in every way. Our first impression when we walked in the door was that the log cabin was very well kept - really clean and tidy - we felt like the first people to use it. Your attention to detail is definitely one of the reasons we were so impressed e.g. books, incense sticks, DVD's and of course the fully equipped kitchen, etc. The bedrooms were lovely with ample space in rooms, en-suite and storage area. The heating system including stove was fantastic and provided a really cosy atmosphere which was lovely to return to after a November's day out and about. We even got use out of the decking and garden furniture a couple of mornings for breakfast - what a view!! I have already recommended the cabin to family and friends and definitely intend on returning myself (hopefully it won't be too long before you hear from us again ). I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for affording us the opportunity to holiday in Glenmalure and keep up the good work!!" (November 2003)

"Really enjoyed the break. Fantastic lodge in fantastic location. Be back in New Year." (November 2003)

"Brilliant accommodation in a beautiful areas! Had an excellent week and couldn't ask for more. Thank you very much." (November 2003)

"The house was very tidy . I liked the garden, great DVDs & saw a fox(aged 6).

Thank you for receiving the lodge in such a clean condition. A very restful holiday in beautiful surroundings." (October 2003)

"Beautiful lodge, very relaxing, hope to visit again. Many thanks." (October 2003)

"We enjoyed the visit and have told a few of our friends to consider a visit some time in the future.

The place was very clean and I hope you found it clean when we left (the wife spent the last few hours cleaning it before departing).

You have a great taste in music and dvd`s and we found the Brian Kennedy CD a treat. We found the holiday very reasonable priced and when you have a family on a budget we could have not got better value.

Thanks for the use of the place and I will tell others about the visit to Wicklow.

Thanks again." (October 2003)

exceptional, everything we needed was there. The views from the lodge were stunning. The selection of books and DVDs were a nice touch. We have already recommended Glenmalure to friends and family and will continue to do so. All the best with the business and we hope to pay a return visit someday."

"The lodge itself was superb, it was clean, extremely well furnished, and the location couldn't be beaten. The added touches of the DVD's, books, and CD's were well thought out, catering for everyone. My mom was reading madly to finish a book that she hadn't read before, because she didn't want to take it from the lodge.

I have taken numerous photographs to show friends and family, and some of my friends have expressed an interest for a long weekend. So hopefully I will be back in the near future." (September 2003)

"A superb holiday, fantastic location with excellent views. The lodge was amazing and the attention to detail, including the wide range of DVDs, was out of the world. Rest assured Glenmalure, we will be back!" (September 2003)

"Great week, Powerscourt & Glendalough a must. The accommodation was of a very high standard. Thank you." (July 2003)

"We all had a great time staying at Glenmalure, we were very fortunate to get some really good weather, plus some spectacular thunder and lightning displays in some of the evenings! You really could hear the thunder rolling up the valley!!! Most comments I have are positive, it was great to have so much equipment (dishwasher, toastie maker, hi-fi, DVD, plus all the other bits and pieces in the kitchen). It made life much more simple and relaxed, not having to worry about remembering to bring stuff from home. It’s great that it is non-smoking, and clean!!

The directions were very useful, although we were okay, some people might have difficulty around Dublin, so maybe better directions (from the airport for example). It was good to have the golf course so close although it was very difficult, we were glad we hired buggies!!

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable family holiday, and we felt like we’d been away for more than a week when we got home (which is a good sign!!!)." (July 2003)

"Thanks very very much. Had a fab time. It's so relaxing and very cosy. Hope to come back again. Brilliant that its no smoking!! Veranda reminds me of Oz! Love the cows next door. I slept on the big blue futon - best room in the house with the view when I woke up. Great gaf. Great music. Great company. Thanks again." (July 2003)

Brilliant lodge, beautiful view and great weather! (June 2003)

"We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Glenmalure. The house was one of the best we have stayed in around the country. We generally rent a house out 3 times a year in various parts of the country and really found Glenmalure to be off the highest quality." (June 2003)

"What an idyllic spot to have a great holiday. The lodge is beautiful and the views stunning. We had a fantastic week - Dublin, fishing, golf (with buddy), wine, traditional music, 5 days of very hot sun! Hope to come back again, thank you." (June 2003)

"We had a great time at Glenmalure, and we will return!

We found the cottage to be very cosy and warm. We especially liked the fireplace, since we had a few rainy evenings during our stay. The view was wonderful.

Overall the house exceeded our (high) expectations, especially in regard to comfort, cleanliness and... (I forgot the word here, but I mean that all the stuff that you would need is there)."
(June 2003)

"Excellent! View, fireplace, golf, rain and sunshine. What a great week." (June 2003)

"Great weekend was had by all. Everybody was impressed with your house." (May 2003)

"Both the location and the cabin were perfect. The views were breathtaking, ideal for getting away from it all, plus there are some excellent attractions close by. The accommodation is fabulous, really comfortable and very well equipped. So much so that we had brought down a lot of stuff thinking that it wouldn't be supplied!
Thanks again and I'm sure I will be back to book again."

"Excellent accommodation, wonderful view." (October 2002)

"There were four of us staying in the cabin and we were all extremely impressed on arrival. I don't think I could point out any bad points about the accommodation. Having a fairly good weeks weather helped I suppose. They are fitted out very well as I learnt when I realised that I'd left my phone charger at home and found one supplied. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again at some stage and I've been telling my family and friends how nice it was so hopefully that might send a bit of business your way." (September 2002)

"I want to commend you on your wonderful Log Cabins. In all my life I have never experienced such detail in a self-catering lodge - from heated towel rails, a barbecue (complete with a spare can of gas!) right down to meditation tapes - I mean I could go on forever!!!! We had a fabulous 5 night stay, completely relaxed and were very sorry to leave!!! Since we have come back, I have recommended you to all my family and friends.

So to finish off - we definitely will visit your lodges again - I only wish I could own one myself!!!"

"First of all let me say that we had a wonderful time in Glenmalure. The cabin was spotless on arrival and was more than we hoped for. The facilities were amazing and the view, well , lets just say we were quite pleased with it. The living room is beautifully decorated as are both bedrooms. We found that it was a very peaceful location, but it was not too far at all from Rathdrum. It was also a central location for driving around Wicklow and visiting the various sites.

We will be definitely returning to Glenmalure within the next 6-8 months and have recommended it to my friends as a perfect place for a break." (July 2002)
