Wicklow National Park

View of the heather in the Glenmalure Valley

The park is also home to an amazing number of animals including a large herd of deer, badgers and otters. Other bird life includes red grouse, skylarks, meadow pipits and merlin. The Park comprises some of the remotest terrain in Wicklow with contrasts between deep glacial lakes, stunning mountains, and both natural and planted forests.
